District Mission Trip: Hurricane Sandy Relief

As we know the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy is abundant and wide-spread in the New York, New Jersey and Maryland areas.  One of the areas with the greatest need is Crisfield Maryland, which lies in the poorest county in Maryland.  Relief efforts are underway as they clear out homes from the
flood damage.  The East District has scheduled a rebuild trip for *September 21-28, 2013*.  We are looking for volunteers to help with these efforts. While the skills of professionals are always appreciated and a benefit to the team, they are not required for participation.  You can be a novice in
construction skills and will be trained on the job.  We will be staying at Crisfield UMC and will be hosted by their UMW. Cost for the trip will be affected by airfare costs, but you should plan on raising $700-$800 for the trip.

If you would like to participate, please fill out the attached volunteer application and return it with a $200 deposit to:
